Road Runners America Logistics is a family-run carrier out of Powhatan, Virginia. We are not a mega-fleet and we are not trying to become one — we run contracted freight for national accounts on lanes that repeat, with a driver roster small enough that dispatch knows your name.

01 / How we got here

We grew by keeping drivers, not by buying trucks.

Ten years in, the freight that pays our bills is contracted volume for national accounts — including UPS and FedEx. That is deliberate. Contracted freight means the same shippers, the same routes and the same clocks week after week, instead of chasing the spot market and passing the volatility down to the driver.

Everything else follows from that: we can quote a real weekly mileage range, we can say no to snow routes in January, and we can tell you exactly what comes out of your settlement before you sign anything.

Family-run, not private-equity-run
Decisions are made by people who are on the yard, not in a quarterly review deck.
Our own shop
Equipment is serviced on site in Powhatan. Nothing older than a 2026 model year goes out with a driver.
Safety is a business model
Clean inspection records are what keep contracted lanes ours — which is why we pay cash for them and why phones stay down at roadside.
Straight answers first
We would rather lose a driver on the phone than three weeks into orientation. Escrow, 1099 and home time are stated up front.
